01 Overview

GeoLens is an institutional camera app. Every photograph is captured together with its location, coordinates, date and time — so documentation carries its own context.

02 The problem

Photographs taken for institutional records quickly lose their context: where was this taken, and when? Adding that information afterwards is slow and easy to get wrong.

03 Objectives

  1. 01Record location, coordinates, date and time at the moment of capture
  2. 02Keep capture fast and simple in the field
  3. 03Produce photographs that are ready for documentation

04 My role

Design and development of the application.

05 The solution

A camera-first app that reads the device's position and clock at the moment a photo is taken and records them with the image.

06 Technical architecture

  1. 01CaptureDevice camera, camera-first interface
  2. 02LocateDevice GPS for coordinates and place
  3. 03StampDate and time recorded at capture
  4. 04DocumentPhotographs ready for institutional records

07 Key features

  • Location & coordinates

Where each photograph was taken, recorded automatically.

  • Date & time

When it was taken, from the device clock.

  • Camera-first

Open, point, capture — nothing in the way.

  • Documentation-ready

Images that can go straight into a report.
