Enterprise Application / ERP
01 Overview
XLIS is XLRI's institutional ERP — the system behind many of the academic and administrative workflows of XLRI – Xavier School of Management.
02 The problem
A management school runs on a large number of connected processes, each with different people responsible for different steps. Those processes need one dependable system rather than a patchwork of separate tools.
03 Objectives
- 01Bring academic and administrative workflows into a single institutional system
- 02Give each group of users a clear, task-focused interface
- 03Keep the platform reliable and maintainable as requirements change
- 04Protect institutional data with sensible, role-based access
04 My role
Full-stack development across the platform — interfaces, backend logic, integrations and data — together with the deployment and infrastructure work it depends on, as part of XLRI's IT Services team.
05 The solution
A modular web application. Workflows are built as modules on a shared core — common sign-in, shared data and consistent interface patterns — so new institutional needs can be added without starting over.
06 Technical architecture
- 01InterfaceBrowser-based, role-aware screens for each group of users
- 02ModulesWorkflows built as independent modules on a shared core
- 03DataA single source of truth for institutional records
- 04OperationsDeployed and maintained in-house by the IT team

Day-to-day institutional operations handled in one place.
Role-based access
People see the tools and data that match their responsibilities.
Shared foundations
One sign-in, one dataset and consistent patterns across modules.
